AS integrated: Machine for Automatic Assembly
The AS integrated is a flexible assembly cell designed for automated component assembly. Thanks to its modular design, the system can be adapted to a wide range of components, processes, and production requirements. Companies can use it to automate assembly tasks cost-effectively, even for small batch sizes or products with many variants.
What is automated assembly?
In component assembly, multiple individual parts must be precisely positioned, joined, and inspected. In traditional manufacturing, this process is often performed manually or semi-automatically. Automated assembly systems handle these steps using robotics, sensors, and modular process stations.
Components are automatically fed, positioned, and then assembled. This ensures reproducible results while maintaining high process speeds. Modern assembly cells can perform multiple steps within a single system and enable flexible production even when dealing with varying product variants.
Here’s what our AS Integrated can do
Part weight
Ideal for small and medium-sized parts
Process versatility
Flexibly expandable to accommodate a wide variety of processes
Individual parts
Can also handle more complex assemblies
Parts per hour
High output, especially for simpler parts
Assembly cell with integrable production processes
The AS integrated is available as standard with various assembly processes. These include, among others:
- Adhesive bonding
- Screwing
- Greasing
- Press-fitting
- Inserting
- Inspection
These processes are carried out via modular stations within the assembly cell. This allows different assembly steps to be combined within a single system.
In addition, customer-specific fixtures or production processes can also be integrated. This enables companies to transfer their existing production know-how into automated manufacturing.
Automated Assembly with AS integrated
With gKteso’s AS integrated assembly system, various assembly processes can be implemented within a compact production cell. A central feeder robot uses camera-based recognition to identify components and automatically feeds them into the system.
The components are often stored as bulk material in carriers on a turntable. The robot picks up these parts and transfers them to the respective process stations within the assembly cell. This allows assemblies with multiple components to be assembled efficiently.
A major advantage is the system’s quick changeover capability. Companies can assemble different products within a short time and, for example, manufacture one assembly during the day and another at night. Variants within a product family can also be flexibly accommodated.
Advantages of the AS Integrated
Flexible Variant Production
The assembly cell can be quickly reconfigured for different components or assemblies. This allows companies to assemble various products within a single facility.
Modular production system
Thanks to its modular design, new processes or stations can be added at any time. The system grows with the production requirements.
Automatic component feeding
The camera-assisted feeder robot reliably detects components and positions them precisely for the assembly process.
Scalable production
If production requirements increase, additional modules or process stations can be integrated. This ensures that the system remains usable in the long term.

Future-Proof Assembly with AS integrated
A significant portion of assembly costs stems from logistics and material flow. The AS integrated assembly cell reduces these costs by automatically supplying components and processing them within the system.
Furthermore, the system is designed to integrate with automated transport systems. This allows for the automation of entire production lines and a reduction in labor requirements.
As a result, companies benefit from a flexible and long-term scalable assembly solution.
